do you remember orangator? it's an old freeware synthesizer program by russian dude oleg sharonov (respect!!!). most people didn't find it very useful, although it's actually quite powerful. it can synthesize 10 independant oscillators in realtime, and of course it has tons of weird effects (and some wicked bugs). Well. I guess it's kinda lame by todays standarts... but this program came out in the mid-90s, in a time when we knew shit about vsts and stuff. anyway. "rotten orange" was played live and recorded on my craptop on may 9th, 2009, using orangator as the only sound source. the next day i did a shitty remix to fill up those 1,44 mb *lol* then it wouldn't fit on the release so i had to encode it with 8 kbps :-D hope you enjoy this release and thanx for listening. that's all. take care everyone.
ps: the rumours are true. oleg sharonov did complete the VISUAL ORANGATOR. It works kinda like SynthEdit, just again rendering in realtime. If you happen to be looking for a simple alternative to pd, this might be something for you nerds out there ;)
